VIVIDA handbags are created by London based designer Svetlana Shellshear.

Although Svetlana was educated as an architect she has always had strong interest in fashion. Her interest developed into a career in knitwear and textile design. For more then ten years she collaborated with design studios in London and New York. Her works were sold in England, USA, Italy, France and Japan.

At the same time she was also designing wall hangings, cushion covers, knitwear, wraps and customized clothes.

Svetlana also produced a number of oil paintings of women which were exhibited in England and USA.

From 2002 as a sideline to textile design Svetlana started producing one - off textile handbags mainly for private clients under the name "Handbags by Svetlana". She also began experimenting with textile and leather combinations.

These first attempts in handbags design attracted attention of customers and press.

With time Svetlana`s interest moved from one-off occasional handbags to more simple functional bags with a wider appeal.

The name VIVIDA which was chosen as the name of the company not only reflects Svetlana`s vision of her label but her love of everything Italian.

Collaboration with the Italian workshop where bags can be completely handcrafted helped to realise Svetlana`s dream to create luxury bags with a very special personal touch.
